Ethiopia: Grant proposal NBS Impact Assesment

DWA and partners support the implementation of NBS in the Awash basin, Ethiopia. There is a need to assess the impact of these measures. So far, the DWA and partners lack the knowledge to carry out a quantitative impact assessment.
Quantitative knowledge about the impact of NBS measures enables DWA to raise funds, by adding an extra dimension to dialogues between Ethiopian partners on selection and prioritisation of NBS, and enabling parties to make better choices in the design (writing proposals) and implementation of future NBS projects.
FarmTree and Acacia Water will develop and apply a methodology to conduct the quantitative impact assessment. This will further strengthen the development of the IWRM module under the FarmTree Tool (by adding the SWAT analysis tool), reinforcing the purpose of the partnership between NWB Fund and FarmTree to support the use of the FarmTree Tool in NBS projects under the Blue Deal.
