Ghana: National dialogue on NbS

During 2 days, under the guidance of the Water Resources Commission, various representatives of governments, NGOs and other stakeholders discussed how Ghana can transition to nature-based solutions and ecosystem approaches. The conclusion of the Dialogue was that the time to start with the NbS project is now. All stakeholders must incorporate this action into their work to make it a reality. NbS solutions offer enormous side effects; it improves livelihoods and protects ecosystems.
The positive response to NbS highlights the fact that Ghana is ready to adopt and maintain NbS to protect their coasts, communities, and the land, while working with nature.
Pilot locations for NbS have been identified, institutions that will be involved in the implementation are also known and therefore further collaborations at a higher level will be continued to ensure the implementation of these pilots.
